Financial education
The aim of financial education is contribute to giving the greatest number of people possible enough information so that they can make responsible, informed decisions regarding their personal finances. Since it began, the program is designed to be universal and inclusive, and has activities suited to the financial education needs of different social groups, depending on their stage in life.

Manage your finance
Activities designed to start raising awareness from an early age of the importance of handling one’s finances properly.

- In-person game ‘Financial Grand Prix’.
- Participation of volunteers from the bank and Afundación in the program for secondary school students promoted by the AEB and Junior Achievement, ‘Your finances, your future’.

Risk management
Our aim is to make children and young people aware of the culture of prevention and the SDGs.

Segura-Mente We are featuring the fourth edition of the program Segura-Mente ABANCA. Professionals will offer talks at schools asking them to reinforce the content handled by the program. The cybersecurity program for school students also forms part of this block and last year, more than 3,300 were involved.

Literacy and financial health
This area promotes a knowledge of finance through varying, up-to-date content in participatory settings with audiences at all stages of life.

Workshop and lecture program The third area covers workshops and lectures to improve the financial knowledge of three groups:
- School students: the most notable activity is the financial education theater, which now has 4 different plays that were produced for our program and presented in recent years.
- Seniors: activities have been designed to improve their overall financial culture, including workshops to promote their financial inclusion and offer them support when confronting the digitalization process. The proposals center around training these people to use mobile banking and self-service devices so that they can have security and autonomy when carrying out the most usual financial transactions and improve their control over personal and family finances.
- Self-employed and professionals.

Business culture
Performances and educational activities complement the artistic initiatives and stress the importance of ethics-based learning.

Activities and programs to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture The aim of these activities is to promote an entrepreneurial culture in the classroom. One noteworthy example is the program ‘Family business in the classroom’, in collaboration with the Galician Family Business Association.
