Mr Eduardo Eraña is a Certified Public Accountant from the Universidad Nacional of Mexico.

Professional career

Mr Eduardo Eraña has more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry as an expert in means of payment.

Until 2015 he was president of Visa Inc. for Latin America and the Caribbean, assuming the strategy and projects of the company's business in 44 countries. Previously, he served as executive deputy chairman at Visa ALC and chairman of Visa Mexico. During his tenure, he consolidated Visa as a leader in electronic payment systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In October 2016 he was appointed member of the Board of Directors of ABANCA Corporación Bancaria, S.A. and chairman of its Appointments Committee. He has also served on several boards, including LifeMiles Ltd. (2018-2021) and Baptist Health South Florida Foundation, Inc. (2018-2024).
