Mr Eduardo Eraña is a Certified Public Accountant from the Universidad Nacional of Mexico.

Professional career

He has more than 40 years of experience in the financial sector as an expert in payment methods.

Until 2015, he was President of Visa Inc., Latin America and Caribbean Region, overseeing the company's business strategy and projects in 44 countries. Previously, he held the positions of Executive Vice President at Visa LAC and President of Visa Mexico. During his tenure, he consolidated Visa as a leader in electronic payment systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has also been a member of various boards, including: LifeMiles Ltd. (2018-2021) and Baptist Health South Florida Foundation, Inc. (2018-2024).

In October 2016, he was appointed member of the Board of Directors of ABANCA Corporación Bancaria, S.A.
