Ana da Cunha Barros

Independent Director

Born in Porto in 1969. She holds a Degree in Business Management from the University of Porto (School of Economics) and an MBA in Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) in London. Furthermore, she has completed the International Directors Program (IDP-C) at INSEAD and the Women on Boards program at Harvard Business School.

Professional background

From 1975 to 1981, he was the director of human resources at FEMSA. Between 1981 and 2005, he held various positions of responsibility at Barclays, such as director of personal banking, deputy general manager of administration, general manager of private banking, commercial general manager, member of the Board of Directors, vice-chairman, and director of the retail and SME banking division. Finally, from 2005 to 2019, he worked at Banco Caixa Geral, S.A., holding the position of chief executive officer, as well as chairman of the executive committee.

In October 2019, he was appointed director of the Board of Directors of ABANCA Corporación Bancaria, S.A.
